Summary

Hi there, my name is Mike Lockhart of Mike Lockhart Construction, LLC – I know the name is very innovative; it took me a while to come up with that one!

I am originally from Rochester, NY and still have a big family there I visit frequently. I attended Ithaca College where I played football, received a degree in accounting, and enjoyed spending time outside hiking and camping in the warmer months.

My love of the outdoors is the main reason I decided to move to NC about 14 years ago and create a life here for myself. I initially worked with builders in the area on a variety of construction sites and worked my way up to overseeing several jobs as a superintendent. I then put my accounting degree to work and started a desk job but soon after began feeling a strong urge to get back to work outdoors and run my own business.

In 1996 I began my first business, Spotless Pressure Washing, and quickly built a clientele of homeowners, commercial building owners and realtors. While I enjoyed the gratification of working hard and working for myself, building kept calling…

In 2004 I got my General Contractor’s license and opened my building company. Over these last several years my business has taken me all over the triangle. I’ve built and homes in Roxboro, Cary, Raleigh, Clayton and Garner ranging in size from 2,000 square feet up to 3,700 square feet and with sales prices ranging from $200,000 to $600,000.

With each new home I built I saw an increasing desire from people in every community to update and improve their existing homes. For this reason, home improvement projects have become a very large part of my business as well. My projects have included, but are not limited to, remodeling, screened in porches, decks, additions, electrical and plumbing work, built-in cabinets, trim and crown molding, and all types of repairs.

My clients have enjoyed the benefit of having a relationship with just one person for all of the various projects around their homes. Let me worry about scheduling workers, making phone calls, picking up supplies and staying on budget.
